Government Revises 2015 Budget Deficit, Economic Growth

News: The Ghanaian government has raised its budget deficit target for 2015 to 7.3% of GDP from the previous estimate of 6.5%, according to Finance Minister Seth Terkper. Addressing parliament while presenting the revised 2015 budget on July 21, Terkper stated that the economic growth estimate had also been revised down from 3.9% to 3.5%, while the forecast for end-year consumer inflation had been raised to 13.7% from 11.5% (Reuters).
